This bachelor's thesis deals with the design of a bed with an additional lying surface. Part of the work is a search of the domestic and foreign markets, from which the evaluation is processed, and the findings from this evaluation were then used to design your own bed design. The construction is designed to meet safety and technical requirements according to applicable standards. The whole work contains drawing documentation, drawing environment, visualization and economic consideration in direct material costs. At the end of the bachelor thesis there is an evaluation and discussion with regard to the benefits for practice and conclusion.

The subject of this thesis is to design structural solution of cribs and changing table, which would meet all requirements of security and functionality. This solution was created on the basis of current assortment of crib and changing table in our market and from the knowledge of this subject, which are collected in this work. The solution is supported by the technical and safety requirements. The proposal consist in elaboration of the design documentation, bill of materials, economic evaluation in the level of the direct material costs and visualization.

The thesis deals with the structural design of high beds with the possibility of height changes of the lying area, which will meet all the precautionary and technical requirements. The basis for the structural design is the current state of the assortment offered on the market in the area of high and bunk beds as well as information of the issue, which are described theoretical part. The practical part includes drawing environment, visualizations, drawing documentations and an integral part of the thesis is the economic evaluation on the level of direct material cost.

Zpracování aktuálních rozměrových standardů lehacího a odpočivného nábytku

Dissertation deals with the problem of lying and resting furniture, in a partial way is also devoted to seating furniture. With relevance to the changes of population’s height and enlargement of body proportions according to the last measuring, it is necessary to revise the majority of dimensions of human – furniture and standards based on updated measuring. The aim is a statistical evaluation of data from the anthropometrical measuring, acquired within the NIS grant and creating optimal dimensions of lying and resting furniture so that they respond to the needs of current population. Graphical simulations created in ergonomic software Tecnomatix Jack are intended to illustrate the dimension requirements. The result are processed in a form of charts which are classified XS–XL. The outputs are compared to data in professional literature and standards. The optimal dimensions for lying and resting furniture were designed according to the results.

Návrh konstrukce a realizace variabilního lehacího nábytku pro minimální bydlení

The subject of this thesis is structural design and subsequent realisation of variable bed furniture for a specific customer. The concept of the product and its technical parameters were based on studies of functional and minimalistic housing designs, literary sources about bed and seating furniture, market research of space-saving beds and standards related to bed and seating furniture. The customer has been given three variants to choose. The final solution is creation of a sliding bed on wheels with linear leading. The bed is shifting through the gap in the wall into built-in closet area hiding in the spare space behing this wall. Third of the bed room remains in the bedroom, which, together with backrest creates a sofa for occasional seating. Thesis attachement consists of the bill of materials and construction drawings of the product. It has been created as a innovative concept of space-saving bed and the realisation fulfilled the requirements of the customer.

The thesis mainly deals with a double bed design based on ergonomic, anthropometric and security requirements for lying furniture. Besides the bed structure design, appropriately chosen mattress and supporting grate should provide a good rest and allow both physical and mental regeneration. The work provides two versions of the bed, one of which was selected and further processed. The practical part of the thesis includes manufactural/production drawings of the selected variant and the bill of material.
